Julia and Melanie first crossed paths while working at Twitter, where they discovered a shared passion for empowering the next generation. Both women faced their own challenges in landing and keeping jobs early in their careers, learning firsthand that the secret to success lies in a powerful mindset, a robust network, and skills not typically taught in schools.
Dream Builders Academy provides high school students with essential programs in professional skills, mindset mastery, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. Julia travels the globe to speak and train educators, while Melanie engages college students nationwide, instilling in them the confidence to break into the professional world.
Meet Julia Martin
Julia Martin is a seasoned Mindset & Business Coach, host of the top-ranking podcast Dream Your Life, which has amassed hundreds of thousands of downloads across the globe, and Co-Founder of Dream Builders Academy. After a successful 13-year career in Business Development at Google and Twitter, Julia felt inspired to share her insights on the transformative power of manifestation and mindset with the next generation. By blending her expertise in mindset with proven business strategies, she equips high school students with essential skills in resilience, emotional intelligence, and goal-setting to thrive in their future careers.
Driven by her commitment to empower young people, Julia co-founded Dream Builders Academy to instill confidence and vital life skills in students. As a devoted mother of three, she embodies the principles she teaches, focusing on developing a growth mindset and fostering self-belief. Julia firmly believes that with the right tools and mindset, achieving one's dreams is within everyone's reach.
Meet Melanie Bettis
Melanie is a seasoned tech veteran with extensive experience at leading companies like Twitter and Apple. As a career coach and the founder of Going Places, she has dedicated her career to empowering individuals to navigate the complexities of the professional world. Her journey began with the publication of Bold: Get Noticed, Get Hired in 2013, a book that has since become a valuable resource in college curriculums at institutions such as Lehigh and Carnegie Mellon University.
As a co-founder of Dream Builders Academy, Melanie is deeply passionate about equipping high school and college students with the essential skills they need to thrive in today’s competitive job market. Through innovative programs and hands-on workshops, she shares her expertise in career development, including her signature Get Hired method. This approach has proven effective at prestigious universities such as the University of Pittsburgh, NYU, and the University of California, Berkeley, where she empowers students to secure positions at top Silicon Valley tech companies.

Meghan Woodcock is passionate about creating educational experiences that not only inform and educate but also drive action and inspire change. Leveraging her diverse background in exhibition design, advertising, and academia, Meghan founded beta-minus to apply design thinking principles to a broad spectrum of educational challenges—from fostering entrepreneurship and closing digital skills gaps to innovating public health strategies. Dedicated to the transformative power of education, Meghan focuses on work that empowers individuals, transforms communities, and shapes sustainable futures.
Brooke Budelli has dedicated over two decades to shaping the minds of young learners, leaving a lasting impact on the field of education. Throughout her career, she has excelled in diverse roles, including classroom teacher and Learning Specialist at Sacred Heart Schools in Atherton, Learning Specialist at both Innovative Education Management and the Morrissey Compton Nonprofit Educational Center, and founder of Keep-it-Up Learning. Her experience as a teacher, educational specialist, and consultant for emerging education companies showcases her extensive knowledge and expertise. Brooke’s passion for education is rooted in her belief in every student’s potential, and she has an exceptional ability to understand diverse learning styles, creating customized curricula that cater to individual needs.
Alyson McNair is a dedicated advocate, educator, and curriculum developer committed to breaking down barriers for formerly incarcerated individuals. As the founder and President of Perfect, Inc., a nonprofit supporting women who are rebuilding their lives post-incarceration, Alyson believes in the transformative power of equal opportunity. Her work champions the right of formerly incarcerated individuals to achieve success in their careers and academics, including pathways to business ownership, leadership roles, and access to higher education funding. Through Dream Builders, Perfect, Inc. and as Professor at Marymount University, Alyson remains a steadfast advocate for human rights, providing tools, resources, and support for individuals to unlock their full potential.
